Red Pepper #2

Oil on Board
11 x 14

My husband and I have been fans of the famous photographer Edward Weston for many years. He did hundreds of large format black and white photographs of peppers, all elegant and beautiful. He was, understandably captivated by the form and shape. I am amazed at the beauty of these vegetables and hope to continue this series in the coming weeks.

This is another painting of one of my favorite subjects. I am very taken by the texture and shapes of these lemons. The painting is done on an Innerglow archival wood panel, they are 1/2" thick and a beautiful surface to work on.
